Tara

well folks it's been some time since I've been on here but I've never forgotten you mad folk. I'm still involved in rescue, Save a staffie Scotland, albeit in the background. Just thought I'd share a photo of my new dog.

Don't know if you noticed....SHE'S NOT A STAFFIE!! This is Tara she's an 11yr cairn. She was my auntie & uncles dog but unfortunately my aunt passed away and my uncle as dementia so we had to put him into care. So I inherited Tara. She's a brood bitch from a puppy farm but she now lives a life of luxury. You would never know she's here, she never makes any noise at all.....well until someone knocks on the door then you'd think we were trying to kill her. She was extremely overweight and now has diabetes but the weight is coming off now with diet, insulin and gentle exercise

Well take care folks
Tracie xx

What a lovely story. Bless you for taking her in and yes she is a bit overweight but looks happy and content and in good general condition. (Bit like me really but her hair looks tidier than mine lol!)

It sounds as if Tara REALLY appreciates where she has landed up with you!

Gorgeous photos.

when I first got her she was 16.8kg and her wee belly would run along the ground as she tried to walk. She's now down to 15kg. Vet would like her down to about 10kg but she's losing the weight so I'm happy. We've had her since April
