Need Tips On Taking My Dog On Her First Roadtrip

Hello! In a few weeks we will be taking our 7 month lab/collie mix on a weekend getaway. Our destination is only about 3 hours away. Does anyone have any tips on how to make her first road trip a successful one?

We always carry water, and food and every 2 hours we stop for a little walk so they can have a wee and stretch their legs.

Several stops along the way for toileting & drinks etc. Does she travel in a crate ? this is the safest way to travel any dog. A dog tag with your temporary details on it. Water from your home for her to drink-sounds silly but different water can cause upset stomaches)
