Freecycle

Thank you to those who pointed me in the right direction for getting my slabs, I've been very fortunate and have collected about 50 now.

I wanted to tell you all what else I have got, I've been so lucky and, with the exception of one thing have been fortunate enough to be offered everything that I applied for. Tonight I went and collected a double Futon, its in excellent condition, the people are moving and can't take it with them, its been in their spare room for visitors. At long last, no more sleeping on the sofa, I shall unfold my futon and sleep on there tonight, that is if Remy and Tyler move off as they are snuggled on it at the moment.

I have also got a lovely hard wearing carpet to put in the kitchen and dining room once that is sorted out, an almost new single duvet which I have used in one of the fleece dog bed covers, a workmate type bench for when I do my fencing etc and a dog kennel

I have given away a fish pond with pump etc., a dihswasher and tumble dryer that were left here when we moved in, some suitcase trolleys and no end of bathtime gift sets.

I think I shall have to stop for a while now as my little bedroom is full to bursting with bits and pieces

My daughter has been doing freecycle for a while. She has got rid of loads of stuff. Clothes, toys, furniture, videos, books all things that are too good to thow out. I think it is brilliant.

I've just joined the Brentwood one so that I can put some stuff on for my mum and dad (they aren't computer literate at all), and have lots of stuff that they've held on to that will be of good use to someone, I'm sure

I've been Freecycling for about a year. We've given and received some great things.

We've given: a tumble dryer, curtains, toys etc and received glass demijohns, a greenhouse, a dog bed and other things.

It's great for getting rid of things you don't want, that aren't really bad enough to throw away!
