Brodie 4yr old Male Staffie

Brodie is 4 years old, has an affectionate & loving nature and loves nothing more than lots of attention, cuddles and playing with his ball!

He is being rehomed through no fault of his own as his family feel he is not getting the attention he deserves due to work commitments and a young child.

Brodie has lived in a home with a young child of 18 months, he is very patient & understanding of the child, but the owner feels he would be best placed in a home with children 5+. He loves people but can become excited and jump up. He is fully house trained and can be left without any problems and is not destructive. He pulls on the lead but with further training this should become manageable. He knows several commands i.e. sit, stay, down, paw & ball. He doesnt get off lead as owner is unsure if he would come back, therefore recall training would be required. He hasnt had the opportunity to mix around other dogs, but on meeting them he will pull towards them with a wagging tail, he does not display aggressive behaviour. He loves to play, especially with his ball & tuggy and loves nothing more than running round the garden having fun with his toys!

Brodie is in good health, he has one medical issue in that he suffers with a skin & food allergy. This is managed by using Wafcol Salmon & Potato food (a 15kg bag will last Brodie 6-8 weeks and the cost for a bag of food is £46.50 which works out 5 - 8 pounds per week). He has had tests done for his food & skin allergy and shows that he is mainly allergic to different grass types. His skin can sometimes become inflamed and this is treated with a cream from the vet, he doesnt have this constantly and is likened to a hayfever issue (seasonal).

His dislikes in life are cats, rain, having a bath and having his paws touched (this is related to his skin issue).

Brodie is vaccinated & microchipped but is not neutered, this will be undertaken by the rescue.

If you feel you can offer Brodie a home where he can be the centre of attention, please contact Christine Henderson (07935243550) or Sharon Hamilton (07870538944).
