Drippy jowls

We're trying to keep the house tidy for viewings at the moment, but Woody is not doing his bit to help!

Everytime he has a drink, he drips it all over the kitchen floor, onto the wooden floor in the hallway and then finishes it off on either the sofa or our laps.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Of course if we had travertine tiles like I really want we wouldn't have this problem (one of the many reasons we want to move!), but for now, all suggestions welcome!

(notice how he's brought a friend to round for dinner ;o)

Put one of those orange dry towel things under his bowl?
Watch him like a hawk and dry him off after?
Or just hope that viewers can see past a lovely wet dog trail

I share your pain - I think it must be a springer thing! Louie has hamster cheeks - I'm sure of it!

I know the problem only too well ..... you get used to it when you have a Shar-Pei daughter!

M'boi will have a drink of water and if I don't catch her and wipe her chin she'll drip water all over the kitchen tiles, then walk into the lounge and shake her head in front of TV spattering water on the screen. It's even worse when you're out in the car and she's thirsty .... Madam climbs onto the passenger seat to drink her water and then shakes her head so I end up soaked!
I buy paper kitchen roll by the dozen and leave them around the house and always have one handy in the car.

And then there's her toys ... but that's a different story ....

Jess does this. She's a nuissance for it, but hey, you know her trails when she's been drinking lol.

Do you have an undercover area outside that his drink bowl could go in for the time being and just limit his access a bit to it? Either that or wipe his mush after drinking.

I get this from my dane all the time. he has a drink walks over put his head on your lap to dry himself off then burps in your face and then shakes his head to remove any water left on his mouth.

think the only thing u can do is to watch him and after he has had a drink dry his mouth off.

Put something under his bowl to catch drips, and keep a towel handy to wipe his chops after he drinks/eats.
