Dog Limping on his Front Leg

Hello all,

I'm just new to this forum however I was hoping someone might have any help on what's wrong with my dog.

I woke up this morning and noticed my dog was limping to the point when we were letting him out for the toilet we had to lift him up and down the stairs. He doesn't seem in any pain and we've felt all over his leg and joints and he didn't react, though my brother did feel his paw at one point and he shrieked.

He's 8 years old and I don't know if it might be a cause of his age. We think he might have hurt himself jumping down from our couch because he lands with a lot of force.
Any advice/help would be appreciated, thanks.

Which breed is your dog?

I would recommend taking him to the vet to get his leg checked, to be on the safe side.

whoops - excuse my earlier error when I said it was a pup you had, my apologies I was thinking about another thread at the same time.

Welcome to the forum, by the way

At 8 years old, it could be anything, I would take the dog to the vet tomorrow.
