why do people feel the need to inflict such things on animals?

OMG poor poor dog. How can that be done? It's so so cruel.

Its done often to remove the tattoos that all racing greyhounds have, this way the trainers/owners cannot be traced. Most of these dogs bleed to death before being found.

Sadly like Spot said its hard to be Shocked anymore, as it happens so often.There are so many Good Greyhound Rescues that they could just Take them too .I think they must just enjoy doing it to the Poor things.

Helena this was one of the 'lucky' ones! Thousands of greyhounds die every year not pts but dumped still muzzled, starved, shot, hung or sold to Spain for the hunting season. Its a very dirty industry
