I have just had a message to say a friend of mine has just died......in shock.

I am sitting here trying to make sense of it all. A friend of mine whom we see about 4 times a year and sometimes holiday with has died. She was diagnosed with breast cancer about two years ago but had battled hard and had been given the all clear.

We were together as families in October having dinner here and she was joking about her reconstructive surgery and what size she was going for!

I received a message tonight to say that she died on Friday. She was about 40 and leaves three children aged 11,13 and 15 . Her husband is in pieces. I cannot even begin to imagine what they are feeling right now.

I am in total shock ans we really thought she had won her battle.......I am finding this so very hard .....too young!!!!

That is absolutely tragic news. It's one of the cruellest illnesses ever. It's such a strange feeling to know you won't see someone again and very hard to come to terms with. My heart goes out to her husband and children. Hugs to you. xxx

It's horrid isn't it? A friend of mine died at the age of 34 last week, he had no kids but still far too young.

Condolences to all x

I'm so sorry for all of your loss. Those poor children, losing their mother at such a young age. Life seems so random and thoroughly unfair sometimes.
