Not personally but it's something that standard poodles can suffer from. Here's a link to some brief info on it on the SP club website http://standardpoodleclub.com/newmai...nce.asp&area=3

Hope they may be of some use.

Hi My 14 year old staffie has borderline cushings disease, which basically means it's cushings and addisons she either produces too little cortisone or too much but she isn't on tablets yet as her acth tests keep coming back boderline which i suppose is a good thing although she does have crisis's during which she takes seizures and vomits and they leave her subdued for a while after. The symptoms for cushings and addisons are the same, excess thirst leading to increased urination, hair thining over shoulders, muscle weakness, pot bellied appearance, a bony looking face and calcification lumps tess has them all, however the seizures come from addisons and need treatment a.s.a.p., even though the vets is 10 mins from me in the car, by the time we get her there her symptoms have gone and everything seems back to normal ( apart from her lethargy) she has the vet baffled as most dogs needs i.v. fluids due to dehydration but she happily drinks gallons herself from a bowl. Addisons seisures are a horrible thing to see but it can be controlled with medication and the dogs lead a happy life , Tess has heart problems and dementia too, but ask anyone who knows her she is an amazing little lady and just gets on with it, no grumbles, just read up on everything you can find if the tests come back positive, for me the worst is watching her fit as she goes blank for about 30 seconds and stops breathing then she is sick and comes round but this isn't often thank god, but it seems an age, fingers crossed for him that he is fine

I know, its just that I don't want him suffering, after all he is my baby and I'd like him to be around for a good while yet

His Mum & Dad are both fine, as are all his littermates so its just him - bless him

I haven't actually put anything on the Leo site yet .....
