Pitbulls & Parolees

Did anyone else catch this programme last night? It was on cable but I forget which channel - sorry!

For those who haven't seen it: it's about a dog rescuer in America, she has about 200 Pitbulls and she takes on men on parole from prison to help take care of the dogs.

The dogs were GORGEOUS. Not physically necessarily, but in terms of personality. And some of the stories were tragic. I swear, people who organise and take part in dog fights/dog baiting should be strung up!!!

I used to watch it when we had virgin but we've quit for a while to save money.

Great programme, I wish the parolees were a bit more committed but the dogs are stunning.

I watched one where the snow came early and the cummunity came out to help cover, water, feed and shovel snow. That was heartwarming.

I watched it when it was on before. She really is a crusador! I feel sorry for her constantly being let down, those dogs were amazing examples of the breed, so lovely

I saw this episode. Didn't they name him "creature" because he looked like the gargoyle they had at the rescue? He was amazing to look at - platinum grey fur with yellow eyes. Sad that he'd been there for so long though but at least the dogs are really well cared for there. If I recall correctly (and bear in mind I've been to sleep since then) only one person showed an interest in offering him a home then back out by e-mail - didn't even have the guts to pick up teh phone and explain properly.

Then there was the young girl who'd been used as a bait dog and she was so sweet. Very like my aunt's staffie from years ago.
