Rosco, Staffie, DOB 05.08 – Godstone, Surrey


Homing Requirements: Rosco needs a special family to be at the heart of. He adores children but older children suggested. He needs garden security and he may try to door dart, so exit management coupled with retention on an extender lead a must. Concerned around dogs unless guided with confidence; gentle intros and reassurance needed. Only pet.

His Story: Rosco was found stray as a young dog, then homed with young children successfully, but was let out of their front door and found stray 9 months later, then again 15 months later - found 60 miles away. A friend had been entrusted with him but no one reported him missing for over 3 weeks! He was totally emaciated. Rosco was nursed back to health in foster. Rosco is currently in kennels in Godstone, Surrey. Rosco is neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Advert: Rosco has the sweetest of nature. Rosco meets people with an open heart and dogs on the whole well, providing they give him space. He needs an owner who reassures and manages dog encounters. He has lived successfully with children. Needs front door and garden security and is best retained on an extender lead. He is easy to walk after an initial attempt to play with the lead, but easily checked. Meets dogs generally well if managed. Not for cats or small furries. Travels well in the car secured with a harness or in a crate.

Rosco is a small well-proportioned mahogany-brindle Staffie who is around 4 years old. He has a cheeky smile and is well loved. Rosco will enjoy family life again and so deserves to be in the heart of the family’s activities. Emperor Rosco is here to entertain!

Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a permanent home is found.
