Try Turner Richards, they absolutely fab and very quick.

If you do start training, I can not emphasize enough about NOT letting the dogs have the dummy as a play toy that it would have access to whenever it wants.

If you want some details for training spaniels, I can hunt them out if you like.

If thats a reference to me, I did not get mine for retrieve specifically in the traditional sense [ I`m anti-hunting so it would hardly be appropriate ! ], I get all sorts of different things for my dogs as they like some things and not others [ five dogs with varying preferences in toys ].
After trying it out initially - I use toy retrieve as part of my two newest dogs` recall training - I let them play with it as an extra reward for a terrific session as they loved the dummy so much.
I will stress, I removed the toggle before using the dummy at all as I considered it a potential hazard.
Unfortunately the dummy got pierced, hence the sawdust coming out indoors, however it could just as easily have happened outside without me noticing as the trickle was so tiny from the initial very small hole.
This happened on its first [ and last ] use.

If it reassures you, my dogs only have certain toys out when left [ which is rare anyway ], of types which do not involve stuffings or bits they could choke on, which is just basic common sense anyway.

www.turnerrichards.co.uk , they do everything to do with gundogs also log into the site www.nobs.org.uk for discussions with likeminded people. You may be able to find a trainer nearer to you or just a mentor for training.

Put in Quest Gundog supplies in google or search engine or try Turner Richards in google as well. If you PM me I will give you a great site that is dedicated to people who work their dogs. Cannot put it on here as they take it off as spam.

put in National Organisation of Beaters and pickers up in google. I would also recomend that you buy a copy of the Shooting Times, available at wh smith every Thursday. Good advice in there and also classifieds that will help you.
