What breed of dog did you first own yourself ...?
And do you still own that breed ?

My parents had a Labrador when I was a child (retired Guide Dog)

My first I've owned myself is Axel the Greyhound, so yes, still own the same breed - can see myself always having one around!

First breed owned - Siberian Huskies.

Mutt. Border collie cross and Rottweiler cross. Now own what's probably a Lab cross. So I guess it depends how you look at it. I still own a mutt but not the same type of mutt.

My first dog of my own was a GSD And, yep - still have GSDs

First dog we had as a family was a Border Collie,and we still have her.

First dog I had that was my own was Sam who was a Cross breed, he passed away in October.

My second dog that is my own is a Dalmatian.

The first dog I owned myself was Jed, and yes, he's still with me so my first breed was a BC.

Growing up we had a GSD,Dalmatian,2 beagles,2 pekes,a great dane,and a yorkshire terrier. Not all at the same time,the most we had at one time was 3,a beagle,a peke,and a great dane.

The first dog I had myself was a Lurcher who I lost last year age 13.

I have now got a Foxhound and my next dog(s) will be different breeds again,I like variety.
