Brady ~ Active Boy Bursting With Fun – 4yo Black Tuxedo Greyhound

BRADY

Brady is a 4 year old greyhound who was originally bred for racing but has never actually raced. He has come to us now along with his littermates Willow and Flint to find his forever sofa. Brady is a big black boy with a pretty tuxedo coat and is a real poser!

Brady is more active than his two brothers and absolutely loves getting out of his kennel. He is very interested in all that’s going on around him and loves to romp and play with his doggie friends. He would be best suited to an active family, or perhaps a family with another young dog who could play chase with him and help him spend some of that excess energy.

Brady is good with the other greyhounds in our kennels and was also very good with his previous owner’s jack Russell. He has good manners around children though when he gets really excited, for example just before walks, he may accidentally knock young toddlers over. Brady travels well in the car and likes to look out the window to see where he’s going. After the initial excitement and desire to explore absolutely everywhere, he settles down nicely on walks and is unbothered by noisy traffic.

Brady has spent all his life so far as outdoor pet, so new owners will need to be a wee bit patient at the start and allow him time to adjust to living indoors. He will likely be very curious about his surroundings, but it generally takes greyhounds 10-14 days to start to settle in a home. Really all they need is time and patience.

In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family with children, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the elderly. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

Brady is currently being kennelled in Co. Wexford, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick him up. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Brady, please email me for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!

Brady has now travelled to Norfolk where he is in kennels and we would love to find this boy a short term foster home while he waits to be adopted. Please note that Brady can be rehomed anywhere in the UK but potential adopters will need to travel to Norfolk to meet / collect him.
