Well I don't see why not?

The pup I'm getting is fed on Arden Grange and beef mince, so as long as you give a complete food with the mince I can't see it being a problem?

I was told, however, to get the "cheap" mince as that has all the fat etc in it to help them grow.

Personally I think mince of any kind must be better than cheap tinned dog food.

Just make sure it's been frozen first, to kill off any bugs.

Our breeder is also recommending chicken and beef mince with Arden Grange. Apparently chicken mince contains a lot of chicken neck which sounds horrid, but is supposed to be quite nutricious.

Chicken mince is fine but pork and beef mince will put on weight if required whereas turkey mince is the one if you want to keep the weight down Obviously also use a complete.

I would advise not to cook chicken mince if you are using the mince prepared for pets. This should contain all parts of the carcass - bone, meat, cartilage. The bits of bone, which are fine if eaten raw, have a different, sharp, texture when cooked and may cause problems.

I see no point in cooking mince of any description. But I always freeze it for 24 hours and then defrost beore feeding.
