Waiting!

Oh dear, Lily and Bella's Optigen results are due in today and I'm a nervous wreck Think I'm going to have to keep myself busy until they arrive.

The results are sent by e-mail and NY are a few hours behind us, so it won't be until Lunch time (ish)

Keep everything crossed for us, these results are very important as the KC have decided, which is good, that in 5 years time only A1 dogs and bitches can be bred from and their off spring registered.

As long as they are A1 or B1, it's fine......just don't want to see any C's

No, nothing yet, it's only 10am in NY......god I wish they would hurry up......still I've been on a cleaning spree, done all my washing and ironing, now going to move furniture around with the help of Paul, got to keep busy......

Results are in:

Bella is CLEAR/NORMAL A1......which means she can be mated to ANY stud dog and not pass on PRA

Lily has come back CARRIER B1.....which isn't a problem, it just means she has to be mated to A1 dogs only, and her pups won't be affected, they will be either carriers or clear. Lily will never be affected with PRA, so not bad news.

So not bad results, at least we didn't see any C's

It would have been nice for them both to be clear, but carrier isn't a problem either, as long as we stick to clear/normal dogs we will slowly remove the faulty gene from the line.
