Oh i'm so sorry to hear about Fern and his HD I have a cousin who's GSD was diagnosed with HD at a young age and was operated on, and is doing fine now pain free, and he is 10 now.

Fern is in the best possible hands with you, he is such a lucky boy, it sounds like you have done a lot to help him now even before his diagnosis.

hi Ingrid

Long time no speak

Not the best news about Fern, but neither is it a sentence like it used to be- you may not remember but Bruno has HD too and he has been in hydrotherapy for over a year now and u honestly wouldnt know he had it - he is not on medication at all other than food supplements and his muscle tone is fantastic - the hydro has helped immensely and I am sure will help fern too -

big hugs from all of us here and hope to see some piccies of Fern in his swimming cossie soon !!!

My Brett dog had severe HD(score 34:34=6He had a lot of swimming & was never allowed to get overweight & he never had any problems(he never developed arthritis either)

He was fed a natural diet & allowed free exercise I never road walked him

What is Fern's hip score ?

His father's & mother's will be on his registration certificate BTW

Aww Ingrid so sorry about dear Fern. Like all have said he is in the best possible hands for having caring parents who will help him get along just fine.
Where have you been by the way? Glad to see you back
