How do you put words onto photos - do you need a special programme?

I was just wondering how you get words onto photos (like Azz did with the welcome photos) Do you need to buy something to enable you to do it or is there something I can download somewhere?

I use Arcsoft Photostudio. In the toolbar panel on the right, there's a T for textbox.

All photo manipulation programmes allow you to place type onto images, if you mean a voice over then some programmes will allow this but not all.

Don't need ANYTHING fancy Foxy!!

Just use bog standard PAINT!

Open paint, open your photo, and click the text icon.

Choose where you want your text box and type!!

Don't let them baffle you with all the new fangled technology

yeah paint will do the trick unless you want to do anything fancy like curved text and stuff
you'll find it under accessories in the programs menu
