Owner sought following dog attack in park: Kidderminster
Monday, 15 February, 2010
Police want to trace the owner of three dogs after one of them seriously injured another dog being taken for a walk in a Kidderminster park.
A woman reported to police that her black schipperke, which was on a lead, was attacked by a grey/white bulldog-type which was one of three dogs running loose in Brinton Park, Sutton Road, at around 5.15pm last Thursday (February 11).
She said the owner of the bulldog-type, a man, struggled to pull it off her dog which suffered body and leg injuries and was later operated on by a local vet.
Police now want to speak to the owner.
He is described as:
* a white male
* tall
* slim
* aged in his 30s
* he had with him a small white terrier, which was possibly a westie, and a large brindle bulldog
Community Support Officer Adam Stobbart said:
"The woman was very distressed and has been left with a substantial vets' bill as a result of what happened to her animal.
"We need to talk to the man whose dog caused the injuries and would appeal to him or anyone who can help us identify him to get in touch.
"We would also like to hear from anyone in the park who may have seen this incident."
Anyone with information should call CSO Stobbart at Kidderminster Police Station on 0300 333 3000.
