Jinx, Lickle Staffie, DOB 11.07

Jinx, Lickle Staffie, DOB 11.07

Homing requirements: Jinx is fabulous in the home and would suit a family who understands what it is to have a terrier; making sure exits are managed so she doesn't go through an open door, window or over a low fence. Jinx needs to be an Only pet. Can be left with lunchtime visits, but not with dog walker visits. Enjoys a secure garden. Exemplary with people and visiting children.

Her Story: Little Jinx was surrendered into a pound just before Christmas as her owners claimed they were working too many long hours, but they had also had an incident with another dog - we think that was the trigger for 'giving up on' her. Everyone went full out to get her out to avoid her being ‘put to sleep’. Jinx is neutered, chipped and vax'd.

Advert: Jinx is a dear, dear dog. She is exceptionally loving in the home and proven with children, but hasn't lived with them. She was best of friends with the dog she grew up with from a puppy BUT is defensive with other dogs if she becomes unsure. Walks well on the lead, but needs 'low dog density' exercise areas. Jinx is everything you would want from a little dog; needs management around other dogs to keep her attention on her walk as she hasn't the skills/confidence upon meeting dogs outside and has now lost 2 homes because of it. We are looking for a terrier family for her using a muzzle for perhaps 6-9 months until she learns not to see approaching dogs as a threat. She obeys lots of different commands and once she gets used to you, she can read your mind! We hope that the right family comes for Jinx as she is a precious jewel!

Jinx has a vivid orange brindle coat. Her skin/coat is in tip top condition now and she is a picture of health. Jinx roots into your heart; a dear, dear love. Jinx needs more work when it comes to other dogs, but with the right owner she gains confidence outside on her walks. Dear, dear soul who is a model companion indoors and mixes with visiting children, but must have exit security. Ideal for a person that wants the love of a dog, who works part time and is happy to walk once a day away from other dogs or has friends who will help to develop her trust in dogs outside, but knows she would not tolerate other dogs inside. A soul you'll cherish and her love is returned unequalled.

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs***.

Jinx continues to enjoy her time in her foster home, but would really love to have a home to call her own. Do you have a Jinx shaped space in your home? Could you adopt her?

Difficult to resist this cute little lady …

An update from Jinx’s fosterers:

“Jinx is back with us! It was a real shame when we heard that it didn't work out with her new family, but we were extremely happy to have her back! She is such a good little girl. She just needs a little bit of guidance in some areas. Walking her with a muzzle seems to be working well. Having a commanding person holding the lead also seems to make a difference. We have Jinx off-lead as well. She loves to play fetch SO much that nothing can deter her from that stick! Jinx is an amazing little Staffie that only wants to please! She loves to cuddle with us and she's been welcomed back into our home with open arms!

We are confident that the right family is out there for her. Who could resist her smile?!

Oh, Jinxy, I wish we could keep you and love you forever!! It's just not in the cards for us to know where we will be from one year to the next.

Someone out there will give this gorgeous girl a chance and, before they know it, they will be in love with her too”!
