Winnie, 2 year old Staffie need home!

Winnie, 2 year old Staffie need home!

Her Story: Found stray in season. Was reactive to dogs, but has settled now post season and spaying. Now settling in kennels.

Salient points: Found in season and very distressed in kennels. Now she is beginning to settle, but she needs a supportive home who have time and to be an only pet.

]Advert: Winnie was found stray at a young age in season. She has since settled, has been spayed and is receiving support in what are challenging times for her. We think she is around 1 yr old. She is very loving and will be the dog her new owners make her ... but she needs love, time and patience for her to begin to believe and trust in a caring setting. Oh what a wonderful project ... to offer Winnie the dedication she needs to settle further, she has already come such a distance.

So many people are coming forwards to offer a Staffie their heart. Staffies are having a particularly challenging time and as sensitive souls it isn't easy for them. Winnie is such a dog who has been dumped and is confused, but her instincts are to trust, to love and to learn from confident hands. She is young and she will settle. She will bring her energies into focus and achieve skill. She is ready to be given that opportunity. She has learned to settle in kennels, but kennels can't offer that next step. We will support Winnie, she will win through! She is a winner ... just needs the opportunity ... her luck is on the change!

"Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

An update from Lynne who walked Winnie today. She is still looking for a foster or forever home!

Spinnie Winnie..bless her heart she is sharing a kennel next to Nina and they have been having words..just chitter chatter but got them both worked up...Winnie rushed out of kennels..jet propelled so we ran and when I stopped she stopped when I walked she walked. Happy to be out of the kennel and enjoying a warm autumn afternoon. Back in the paddock she ran around like bullet. She settled back in her kennel with a huge Jumbo bone..

Why is Winnie still with us because she deserves the best! We feel she needs an "at home situation, she needs to be integral and have time offered to her". She craves company and will take a little while to settle but what a fantastic dog she is and oh so beautiful.

Winnie was Lynne's choice today ... hoping she'll be your choice also a 'must have - offer you the world' doggie! Make her Xmas; make her life!

An update on Winnie from one of our volunteers:

“Winnie went for a lovely long walk through the woods today.

It is always a pleasure to spend time with Winnie.

Walking in the warmth of the day was thirsty work:

Although a little reticent at first she enjoyed a paddle:

We did go on a few adventures and might have got a bit lost at times, but there was so much to do

All in all a lovely walk together with a few stops for cuddles”!

An update from Lynne who took Winnie for a walk yesterday:

"Winnie came out for a long walk today She so needed to feel the freshness of the day.

Whilst she was so intent to be away and almost running for running sake; if you called she'd fly back and come between your legs to be so close. She needs her loved ones. Winnie of all the dogs needs her cherished ones as she loves totally and feels the pain of loving.

Winnie needs Winnibago..so she can be gone... into the sunset.

Just to show the rich rich red of her mahogany brindle coat. What a beauty"!

Winnie is currently in boarding kennels and is not fairing well. She would really benefit from some TLC in a foster home until her forever home comes along. Are you able to help her?

Here is Winnie's YouTube clip:

http://www.staffierescue.co.uk/page43.htm

and we have some good news ... Winnie has gone into a foster home until someone is able to step forward to offer her her forever home! Could it be you?

Adam & Amy are fostering Winnie:

Here is their update:

"Hi All,

Just a quick update to let everyone know that Winnie is doing ok, she is still a little hyper as I think she is just so so happy to be back in a nice warm house with lots of fuss, food, and cuddles.

She has been no problem at all on walks as we have been using the lovely harness she arrived with.

We have had a few little accidents on the kitchen floor but we are hoping that this is just her finding her feet and she has been really good all day so fingers crossed she is getting used to going outside.

She has fallen in love with the big red "boomer ball" in the garden and has been getting rather vocal about how exciting it is (will try and get a video up as it is soo funny!)

All in all settling in well and proving to be a real sweetie.

Here are a couple of pic's, as you can see she has already found a snuggle spot on the sofa"!
