Those little trampolines are brilliant for exercising you can jog on them without straining your knees etc. I have found that by carrying on as normal, walking through the pain it has helped hugely. I didn't find any improvement with supplements, even though I took a high dosage and kept it up for a year, but lots of people swear by them. A cross trainer works pretty well too, but to be honest I'm a fiend for fresh air and walking the dogs and wasn't going to give that up for anything.

Hi,

I just wanted to say that 11 years ago my mum was diagnosed with it in her knees and wrists. She keeps very active, not sporty, but works on their farm and she is still doing fine. It hasn't actually got much worse but she does take a tablet once a week. No idea what it is though.

Thinking of you,

Julie and Teddy

Thanks everyone. I think it was a bit of a shock cos although I`m no spring chicken You do tend to associate arthritis with getting older.......I have been taking glucosamine for a couple of weeks (mums advice) so hopefully i should feel some relief in afew more weeks.

As for the trampoline after three kids it might be a challenge...Although they do say laughter is the best medicine and I certainly laugh when on there.......

Phil, no matter how much I go on...the kids will always want you back on there!!!!wishful thinking I feel.

Rachel, another one here that can only send hugs and sympathy. I was diagnosed 2 years ago, have had numerous drugs on Methotrexate now ( not convinced it helps tbh ) Also Diclofenic ( lots of tummy problems so have to take Lansoprazole)
Regarding exercise, try not to do anything weight bearing, I swim and will get the bike out soon. PM anytime xxxxx

Others have mentioned Cod Liver Oil and Glucosamine & Chondrotin I take both of these too!

swimming would probably be better for you, stay away from running cause of the impact factor.
