Nobody's noticed yet...

When my vessel was launched, the Swedish Lady who cracked the Champagne bottle across the keel, had an impression of her signature put on a metal plaque, which is one of the first things you see when you come aboard. Over the years the plaque corroded to the extent that the signature was barely legible. So, I resolved to remedy this by taking a tracing of the orignial signature, repairing the corrosion and pittings in the steel plate with a self levelling cement, and finally etching in the signature anew. Easy?

Well, I lost the tracing and had no idea what to write instead. So I came up with somthing that looks vaguely like a Scandinavian name (to anyone other than a Scandinavian) and at the same time allows me to '**** a snoot' (thumb my nose) at the powers that be. I attach pictures of the modified plaque and anyone who can tell me what it really means wins a coconut. It's been there for a month now and every VIP who visits, mentions how well looked after our 'signature' plate is when compared to the other vessels! If only they knew.

Top marks...it is Gaelic, Irish Gaelic. But what exactly does it mean? I know there are a few linguistic experts out there. Clue: it's a bit naughty.
