I constantly re-inforce in training with only occasionally giving him a quick release. Doing it this way mean that the contacts are his responsibility, it's up to him to go to the end and up to me to tell him when he can move off it. As long as I time the release properly (and he doesn't get silly) it means that they will be very accurate and fast which is what you need.
