So Beautiful, Yet so Painful

I just got home to find a lovely card in my postbox with a paw print on the front.
Inside was some forget me not seeds and this lovely handwritten poem which I hadn't heard before.
"Shady"
Along the rugged highway
You found a little lane
That led you into heaven
And ended all your pain

We cannot bring the old times back
When we were all together
But memories of you dear Shady
Will be with me forever
RIP my princess xxxxxx

Then there was a little message for me saying I was being thought of constantly.
It was from Jacqui, Shadys hydrotherapist, who always adored Shady and called her, her special princess.
Its reduced me into a sobbing wreck again as I still feel so much pain over losing my beautiful girl and am still struggling to come to terms with it, but I thought it was so lovely i just had to share it with you all.
The forget me not seeds are such a lovely gesture and thing to send, so can anyone please tell me how and when I should plant them? as I am not very good with plants and it would be awful if I couldn't grow them and keep the alive in Shadys memory.

Awwwww, how lovely is that, no wonder it's reduced you to those sad tears again Bev. You for one should know, that she hasn't really gone anywhere has she, just that you can't see her around you anymore, but she's there Bev, that's for sure.xxx

the vet I had to call out for Cassie that awful night, sent me a lovely card too and a packet of forget me know seeds, which I scattered over her grave.

Lovely Bev.

Are the seeds in a packet ? If they are they should have growing instructions.

If not I would sow them next month in trays or small pots and keep them indoors and then plant them out later in March. If you have no room to do that I would find where you want to scatter them and do that in March when the frosts have started to disappear and stop being so harsh.

They are hardy plants and might need a good thinning out every so often as they do tend to go a bit mad when they get a hold. Such pretty plants though one of the old fashioned cottage garden plants.

A beautiful plant to remember Shady by.
