Don't bother. If you touch the M6 to Birmingham trafic anytime before about 9.30am the chances are you will be stationary. But try the toll road that is normaly clearer, unlesss like the other day the trafic is divereted due to an accident. Where are you going to?

Why not go by train????? B'ham 's mailbox is right in the heart of the city and gets traffice even on a Sunday afternoon like now !!! but get on the train and if you want to get a taxi to from there. A much easier way to get into B;ham.

Will they know you did not drive???? The station is minutes from where you want to be.

You will more than likely go into New Street Station. Which is minutes from where you want to be and if anyone asks where your car is on seeing you get out of a Taxi tell them you parked in the Bullring car park rather than brave Broad Street, if anyone in the room is from B'ham they will understand your logic.

The Bullring car park is a multi storey and has CCTV etc and is VERY VERY VERY secure and right in the centre of B'ham and loads of people park there then go round the city. So thats why people will understand

Lel, I'm sure they won't mind you going by train if it makes life easier.
I have a company car, but will travel by train if going into London or fly if going to Scotland (from Midlands) as it is easier, my company don't mind at all.
The M6 is a nightmare, but if you could use the M5 you may be ok by car.
Not sure what part of the world you are from??
I drive all round the Midlands & Birmingham every week & I NEVER use the M6.
