laptops....

the laptop im on now is about to break - screen, long story,, thers a lot wrong wiht it tbh... but anyhow - i need a new one asap..... which is sunday.....

i have a dell one,, which hasnt been bad upto now,, but i was just wondering if anyone reccomends any particular laptops/makes???.....

Dells generally seem to be good as all rounders, and pretty good for battery life. Alternatively I would go for a HP. I have an HP for work, and have been really pleased with it so far.

If you pop along to your local Tesco Extra store, they have a really good HP for about £500:

I recently bought a Dell Vostro 1000 direct from Dell and came in about £330. Have a look at their web-site. I'm really pleased with mine but will advise you to pay to upgrade the battery. I upgraded to a 9 cell battery and I get about 5 hours battery life. Well worth the money IMO I also chose windows xp over Vista. Quick delivery as well.

try aria.co.uk, or scan.co.uk. Another is bigpockets.co.uk (or is it .com - can't quite remember). They usually have some good deals. Or as my mate usually tells me....EBAY!
