I am very pleased to say I think, fingers crossed, that I have managed to system restore in safe mode back to a time when the machine was operating properly. It appears to be cured ok. Thank the good Lord, I did do a lot of praying, I am not ashamed to say. I will drop Norma a line, however, it is my bed time, so I shall do it in the morning.
