Dogs in Eastenders

Does anyone know what happened to the Beale's dog? It showed the dog (was it a beagle, cocker or Basset Hound) run out of the gate when Ian went off looking for Stephen that time when all that trouble with Stephen first started and we haven't seen the dog since!! Neither of them have ever mentioned it either so they couldn't have thought that much of it!

Also where are they hiding the puppy Boxer all the time in the Queen Vic pub? You don't see it much and sometimes when they are all down in the bar you can't hear any howling or barking!

Maybe I take the soaps too seriously !

I`ve never seen the Beale`s with a dog......got me curious now.

Apparently this is the current line up.....

Ghengis belonging to Keith
Wellard belonging to Gus
Chips belonging to the Beales
Terrance belonging to Pat (was Billy's)
Albert belonging to Roxy
Baby belonging to Slaters
and that parrot which belongs to the Slaters..

Wasn't it called Betsy? They definitely had one and I remember they made a point of showing the dog running out the gate.

Soap animals are like soap children, they are always being looked after elsewhere when convenient..... and reappear at appropriate times in the storyline.

A bit like Tracey in Corrie, who went upstairs and stayed in her bedroom for 7 years !!

This got me thinking:

What happened to Betty after Pauline died, did Dot take her in?

How old is Terrance now as Janine brought him for Billy didn't she and she left years ago?

Was Baby the Slaters cat?

I agree. It's a bit like Dr. Legg when you wouldn't see him for years and then he would suddenly appear.
