What lovely dogs. I must admit I have only just come across your photos of Skye and he is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen. In that I mean you can see his character shine at you. When I saw him via your post to Kenny I had to check out your other (photo) posts, I hope you don't mind. He is the kind of dog everyone would love to have. Can I ask you something - did you ever worry about him getting stolen?

Thanks very much, of course I don't mind. Breagh is such a lovely polite gentle girl and I do like Spaniels but Skye was very special. He kept all the dogs in order and (this is hard to explain) existed between me and the other dogs. There was me, then Skye, then the dogs.

We had a Dogsey meet a good few years ago. Lots of Northern Inuits. As you would expect there was a lot of tension and growling as all our dogs had never met before. Skye kept order. Whenever any of the dogs squared up Skye would just go between them and they would back down.

He had a nickname on here - the equalizer

It's funny because he wasn't tough and he wasn't the biggest. It was just that other dogs seemed to respect him. If I can find the thread I'll bump it for you.

As for being stolen - it never really crossed my mind. I live in a small rural village but with Skye being a crossbreed. I'd be more concerned about my Spaniels.

Also - would you try lifting this ?
