Bless her she looks so uncomfortable but comfortable at the same time! Amazing the positions they get themselves in to sleep, very cute!

I think she was trying to look frazzled from the fireworks!
Eileen I just held the camera over her she was on the floor at my feet.

Thanks ladies. I'm just pleased when I get a chance to take a pic of her sleeping. She always wakes up and looks up as soon as I get anywhere near her with a camera. She was too exhausted from worrying about the fireworks this time!

Tangutica,

Have you tried one of those plug in things to calm her down during the fireworks? There is nothing so distressing as a distressed dog

Nah Nancy she is a minpin - feisty and bold and brave. She soon gets over her 'traumas' but bears a grudge forever if you have to 'do' anything to her (like dress a wound or torture her by dripping a few drops of frontline between her shoulder blades!)

She doesn't go berserk - just likes to hide. My old GSD used to hare round the house like a bat out of hell and my old Cavvy used to almost have a seizure but she would let you hold her and comfort her. Bella doesn't really 'do' cuddling - she is a 'get offa me! put me down!' dog! If she could talk I think she'd say 'I don't trust you lot to keep me safe in an air raid - I've made my own arrangements!'

It fascinates me how she insists on going somewhere where she has cover over her head. When at my daughter's for firework night she made a beeline for the kneehole in her desk and stayed under there. Must be some primeaval 'safety of the cave' instinct I reckon.
