Thanks Rookgeordiegirl - the name John O'Hara definitely rings a bell. Remember seeing the poodle doing a retrieve,must have been at Crufts - the object was a shaggy mop head - not the best item for a poodle, he shook it all the way back.

Am I imagining things - or did a lovely silver standard poodle win the (dog?) obedience at Crufts several years ago?

( I would dearly love to see more poodles competing and winning so it might just have been a lovely dream!)
