Birthday cake recipes?

Does anyone know a good one? I'm seriously thinking of just buying her a doggy cake because I don't want to kill her with a homemade one but I would prefer to make one!

I've been looking on getrecipe.com but I don't know which ones are all that safe because some really aren't!

Anybody got any ideas?
