Been To the vets This Morning

I took Lily to the the vets this morning as she had a small pink lump that has grown on the top of her toe. I have waited 2 weeks to see if it dissapeared itself but it has grown bigger.
The vet said to give it another 2 weeks to see if it disperses on its own. If it doesn't she is going to do a fine needle aspiration to see if it is benign or not. If it is and is still growing she will cut it out, if it is something more sinister then Lily will have to have her toe amputated.
While there I discussed my dogs vaccinations with her as they are both well overdue by 6-9 months. Because of losing dogs to vaccinations before I am always very worried about them.
She said because of Lily's health problems she would not vaccinate her anymore as her problems started after her last booster. She said with Kyiro I need to weigh up the risks, but if he was hers she would not vaccinate him anymore either. She said they know that apart from the lepto the booster provides at least 3 years immunity anyway and a good chance many more years than that. She agreed the lepto only stayed in their system anyway for 3-6 months so for at least 6 months of the year they are not covered anyway.
So its been decided that neither will recieve anymore boosters as the risk to them from the booster outweighs the risk of them catching one of the diseases, especially as they don't mix with other dogs anyway or run off lead anywhere but their own back garden.
Anyway now crossing my fingers that Lilys lump will decide to dissapear on its own.

Hope it disappears on its own accord and Lily doesn't
have to have further treatment.

I do hope that this turns out to be nothing more than one of those lumps that come and go.

Fingers crossed here.
