I think the top one looks better but the second one is more practical, my son has the top one in his kitchen and I'm forever catching my sleeves on them, they don't half make me swear.

First one.

I've got the second and when they are the other way up (ie vertical) they trap crumbs that fall from the worktop.

lol i had the exact same choice, hurt less when you bash them, and less likely to pull them off if you catch them when walking past.

I have the first ones and I'd choose them again, yes they catch in my pockets but I can't say as it bothers me too much.

when i renoivated a couple of years ago i switched from the first choice (bar handles) to the second

it was a good choice - everybody seems to have the first type, bit boring and you do catch yourself on them
