Stain on brand new carpet.

Somebody has asked me about this:

It's a brand new cream wool carpet, and the family dog has found a secluded corner to welcome it to the home, so it had thoroughly dried in before the incident was discovered.

So far washing up liquid diluted on a cloth and Vanish Spray-on Carpet Stain Remover have both been tried, but to no avail.
Anyone have any ideas?? I did search on here but couldn't find anything very relevant!

Steam Cleaner? Thats what we use on all our animal accidents.

Whatever you do don't use the vanish in a tub- it died our carpet a differnet color so there is a big patch in the middle of the floor!! Realised after it was meant for clothes :S

Sorry im not really much help!

one valuable thing i've learned is not to have cream carpets when you have animals and children
never again
