dog acting odd

can anyone help, my bullmastiff is acting strange she keeps going into a quiet corner in the living room and bedroom and trying to pull the carpet up. she is not in season so that is ruled out. she does not want to play and is slightly off her food, i dont think it is the heat because she was like this before it got warm

Sounds like a phantom pregnancy to me too, I've seen one of my dogs do this. I took her to the vet and they told me it was important to stop her doing this??? Don't ask me why though!

Could also point to pain I suppose? Especially as she's slightly off her food? I've also had a dog doing this when she's had serious digestive problems it turned out!

possibly a phantom then. if it was at the very end of February it could be. Digging is definalty a sign. Has she got milk or just broody?

My afghan hound used to do this. Almost certainly a phantom pregnancy.....

I agree, it's got signs of phantom pregnancy. Worth a visit to the vet to make sure.
