Pereg Da Booga

I love my dog
When she is loving and good
And comes for a cuddle
An ear twiddle
A pat on the head
As she mostly does

I love my dog when she looks at me
And her tail slowly wags
While her eyes tell me
That she loves me too

I love my dog when I see her
Flat on the kitchen floor
Doing her "road kill" act
As she waits for me
To prepare her food

I love my dog when she sits up
With her right front paw raised
In her "please Mommy" request
And how she will not eat
Until I tell her she may

And I love my dog when she's not herself
When the crossed wires in her brain
Short circuit and then
She is not herself
But always I know
It is not her fault
And I will never
Complain

I love my dog when her actions
Are are bad
After the seizure that
She has just had

Because what would I be
Without my dog
And where would she be
Without me?

But if anyone thinks
I would wish for another
A different dog who was easy
But would not be the same

Please know that I love her
What is it they say?
With warts and all
She is my special girl

I love her
It is easy
Her problems
And all

I love her today
And I always will

She is Pereg - Da Booga
And I guess that what matters
Is easy for me
Because I so love her
And I know
She loves me
