Water tail

This morning we found Ally like this:

Very quiet and didnt seem happy at all.

Her face say it all

She has gotten a water tail looking like this:

So sad to see my happy girl all sad and in pain
She cant wag her tail. Cant sit and seems frustrated.
She has now gone to rest in her basket.

So the next couple of days is all about resting and no training at all.

Thats not a labīs normal behavior at all. I want my happy girl back :smt022
Poor Ally.........

"Water tail" bruised tail, all sorts of names Annestaff, basically Ally has lost her wag, it will return in a few days and Ally will be waggy once again.
Dawn.

It means that her back has been gotten cold and kind of paralysed.
She is in pain and cant wag or sit. She wants to show her joy (being a lab) but its very painfull for her so she gets frustrated

It useally stay for 2-3 days and then goes back to normal.

She has never had this before, but i have known other dogs who has suffered from it. It mostly happens to dog working in water (hunting etc.)
and all you can do is give your dog some time, rest, make sure its not cold and maybe some painkillers if its too bad.

As you can see her tail is just hanging there... Normally her tail is more straight. And she wags it constantly.
Being the lab she is, she wont scream or show in sounds how painful this is to her. But I can tell from her behavior and that she pulls away from me when I want to touch her back or tail.
