Something happening in next village to me!

Hi,

My carer has just been about half an hour ago, there is some comotion going on in the next village to me. She had one call to go to and she gets out of her car and here's the road blocked off by the police! So she went up to one of them and explained that she needed to go to one of the houses for a care call, he said ok but he says stay close to the wall and walk quickly. She asked if she would be ok, he just repeated what he had already told her. So she went to the call, and she saw about 12 armed policeman in full body protection and shields surrounding a building. She was pleased to get out of there I'll tell you!

To me she was very brave, to even think about going along that street, she could have been caught up in the precedence.

Update of what happened this morning -

Apparently a bloke won £10,000 at the local bookies, he was going home and someone shot him with a crossbow in the face. then this attacker took the blokes wife as hostage and were held up in an upstairs bedroom.

This is what I have heard, I don't know how true it is.

the bloke who was shot with the crossbow has died.

There seems to be a new blackout about this, there hasn't been anything on the local TV or radio, and today I have bought the local paper and there is nothing in there either. Wonder if the police have blocked it?

Or maybe it isn't true, I doubt they'd black something like this out. They'd be appealing for witnesses etc.

I have heard about the armed police etc from various people - My carer, the nurse, a builder in our street and the brother of the lad that walks Blackie, so it must have happened.

I'm wondering if it is still in progress?
