How do you train to walk to heel on a half check?

To be completely honest with you, I haven't got a clue how she does it. She's been trying to teach the technique for over 6 months now, and I still can't do it

It's just another aide for telling your dog that you are in command. Linda uses the sound of the half check to enforce that the dog is doing something she doesn't want it doing. When I try doing it, the collar slips down their neck so it doesn't make the same sound and the dogs halfway down the street with my arm pulled out of socket. Like I've said, she has trained so many of the newbies to walk to heal just by using this method, that you'd really have to see it to believe it. Hence I've always used the halti or gentle leader

Hmmm I might get a halti if Luna starts pulling more than she does now.

I'm sure Luna's fine BL especially if you manage to walk Luna and Bella together

Yeah and I actually think, that if I do somemore training it will be even better. She spends most of her walking time off lead........

Teagan had a harness, but slipped out of it, so I got a half check. She pulled really hard with it. I'm only small, so she was nearly pulling me over!

I recently (this week), got a halti. We've only used it 3 times, but I noticed a difference on the first walk!
She's not properly used to it yet, but my arm doesn't come out of it's socket anymore!!
