Going BARF

We are going to start feeding our dogs the barf diet as from Monday.
Please can anyone tell me if their dogs had any upset tummies when they started this diet ?
Many thanks

No mine didn't but I've got 2 adult labs with the cast iron labrador guts. Most people I think introduce the change to raw feeding gradually but I just plunged in having had previous dogs on a raw diet. They are thriving on it.

Best of luck with your dogs ~ hope it goes well.

I tried a pre-packaged BARF diet with my two just to see whether they'd accept raw meat. Kiki ignored it, Casper wolfed it down then brought it back up almost as quickly a few hours later However, with "proper" raw (I started with stuff from supermarket freezers) they didn't have any issues whatsoever.

No - quite the opposite! The one with loose motions improved overnight and the skinny one put on weight. I feed a mixture though - mince, chunks, fish, bones etc.

You gone from a male to female over night!

Ours are all on raw and had no problems when switching them over, they adjusted to the new diet straight away and we put them on full raw pretty much straight out. we didnt do it bit by bit.
