Peaches babies (rats)

Peaches had a litter on the 8th of March (the day I was at Crufts), with Cariad Corrigan owned by Estelle Sandford at Alpha Centauri Stud, and they have grown into fabulous little darlings. We have british blue, lavender and black all carrying russian blue some carrying mink.

here are some pics:

2 weeks:

and of course earlier pics can be seen on our website under current litters!

lol! somerset isn't at all far! Most of my rat breeding friends are in someset and i go there fairly often really, we are south wales and west, and i would class somerset as local. My mentor is in Weston super Mare and I have other rat breeding friends in Wells, Taunton, Exeter, Exmouth, Bristol...

xx

I dont get out much

I owned a rat a few years ago, he wasn't any particular breed, he was huge, looked like a wild rat.
chocy lived until he was 6, not bad.
He was my best friend.
I've always wanted another rat, just never got round to it

6? wow, that's extremely old... 2 is about the norm.

If he looked like a wild rat then he was an agouti - so he was a particular variety! they all are!

oh

silly me, I got him from the local petshop, they gave him to me as he was getting rather big even though he wasn't very old, about 3 and half months, but over the smaller rats he was always missed out, so I happily had him.
I kept him in a huge chinchilla cage that I made out of mess wire, gave him plenty of tubes and ropes to play with,
It makes me sad thinking about him
O'll see if can fish out some pic's of my old boy, he is sadly missed
