I feel if he wants to take his dog then he should be allowed, the dog isn't causing any problems.

It would be alot easier for all of us if this was a common policy

He clearly has his own office according to the article, the dog is causing no problems and everyone else in the offices are fine so why not?

I think work would be a much less stressful place if we could take our dogs, whenever I get home to Keira nd Summer, and I'm only out a couple of hours at a time I feel so much better, they are always so happy that it reminds me to just chill out x

If he's allowed to then we should all be allowed to take our dogs to work. What's good for one is good for everyone.

Can you imagine it though in a large office with 50 or so employees and half have dogs That would be fun in there I think.

Probably the most sensible and useful occupant of the House of Commons if we're honest!

No harm being done.
I think he shares the office but the other MP has no objection.

My only problem is that he knows not many of the great unwashed are allowed this privilege yet he is not only challenging existing rules but going to use the Human Rights Act when he is against this particular act.

At least he is open about it. Others are sneaking their dogs in.

It seems that no-one he works with has any objections so I'm not sure why the dog has been banned? I could understand it if someone was terrified of dogs. Maybe they are worried about everyone taking their dogs in but surely that would have already happened by now if it was going to?

I think he should be allowed to take his dog, I don't know about human rights, but should still be allowed. I do think more people should be allowed too, not just him, but a lot more people. I think though there should be some kind of assessment period first of a week or 2 before a final yes or no, to give the bosses chance to see if the dog causes disruption, etc.

Human rights act?

Give me a break.

Rules are rules but if staff living on premises can have pets, it doesn't effect his work/ cause disruption/ annoy anyone else I don't see the problem to turning a blind eye/ making an exception - though once you've made one exception...

but Human rights? meh.
