Found lump

I have found a lump on my Maxxy's leg.

Only appeared today; it's not hard but it's not soft either. It doesn't seem to bother Max in the slightest and I even pressed it and he didn't bother.

Still worried; anyone got any ideas?

He is booked in to the vets next Tuesday if it's still there anyway.

Is the lump under the skin or external? How old is Maxxy?

Max is 5 (it was his birthday last week).

It looks as though it's only the skin, as I have seperated his fur and its just white and no blotches or different colours.

It could be anything but I would show it to the vet when you go next week and see what they think it could be

could be a fatty lump which are usually harmless but more common in the older dog, however, as Carole has said it could be anything really.

Just take him to the vets on Tuesday.

My Poppy has developed a few lumps and bumps, and the vets has said that the are sebaceous cysts and that we wshould just leave them where they are unless the grown bigger, bursts or bother her... hope it's something similarly simple and harmless for Maxxy too xx

I would not worry over much as you have only just found it and you are going to the vet in any case - just mention it [obviously]
