Blood Clot in my leg

Life just got a bit more exciting again...

I've got a rather large blood clot in my leg!

Interesting thing is, I'm on warfarin and my INR is 2.4 (a normal INR should be 1) and due to me having an increased risk of bleeding already, I can't let my INR go above 2.5

So... what to do! They can't up the warfarin so I may end up with heparin needles again... yuk

Will have to phone the docs in the morning and see if they can fit me in...

Oh dear, that doesn't sound very pleasant Lottie.
I hope that the docs can sort something out for you xx

Thanks guys,

Well they didn't offer any ideas on breaking up the clot (hopefully it may just break down by itself I guess) but they did give me antibiotics because apparently it's infected as well.

I have had infected blood clots and blood vessels before and thinking back, I was only given antibiotics for them so whether it'll break down or not I don't know because this one's quite a bit bigger than those I've had in the past.

Wasn't so interesting afterall!

Thanks,

I'm seeing it as a sign that I need to get back on my feet! So maybe today's the day to start taking the dogs myself again!
