Does it not have an actual date that it runs out - it usually says the date when it runs out.

If you click on the Norton Antivirus bit and then look under Subscription service - it should say renewal date and give an actual date it is due to run out.

If I recall correctly, the Windows Password warning, is just that. It looks at your password and tries to determine if (a.) you have one, and (b) how "strong" it is in terms of crackability. For example, if it was "mydog" then it might consider that to be an unsafe password.

If you're happy with your password, or happy not having one, then I wouldn't give it a second thought.

I have known with Norton in the past, for it to get its Live Update in a complete mess, and I've had to completely restart my computer and run it again for it to sort itself out.

Well I got mine half price with my computer last year so thats why I have got it - I am going to go with AVG free edition when it runs out - I won't pay £60 or whatever for an antivirus.

I ditched Norton too, slowed my computer down no end, encountered all sorts of problems too. I use a program called PC Guard, it's a freebie for Blueyonder customers, been using it for around a year now with no problems.

Took forever to uninstall Norton though we have 3 desktops and one laptop and I got rid of Norton from all of them.
