possible season question

today i noticed quite a few blood spots on the patio were ella and poppy go ,after checking them all over for any signs of a fight and in there mouth i could find no trace of where this blood had come from except poppys vulva was a bit blood stained its not swollen as i would have expected when she is in season but she is only 5 months and am i right in thinking its to early for her to be in season ? but its the only explanation i can see for all the blood and there was quite a bit any ideas would be helpfull

the vulva normally starts to swell a few days into the season
and some girls don't swell until they are day 10 plus
