Primping and preening? If the dog doesn't mind it and it pleases the owner, I see no harm in it
I agree entirely - although I have to say I hate seeing dogs like chihuahuas dressed up in hats and handbags!

Just as Florence said, never

Absolutely not

Why should we inflict our ideas of beauty on another species
for cosmetic looks only . Dogs having testicle implants are usually reserved for the show ring if a dog has had to be castrated for whatever reason. But then castration isn't classed as cosmetic surgery is it It is a procedure to stop them fathering litters of unwanted dogs.

Cosmetic surgery will include ear cropping etc ...... bluddy cruel in my opinion and that should be stopped as was docking of the tails unless it is a working dog who could get their tail caught which would inflict horrendous pain. I don't believe have a dogs ears cropped can be for any other reason other than cosmetic.

Painting a dogs nails, dying their coat is not a surgery and if that is what the owner wants so be it ..... certainly not something I'd ever do.
