Great Idea...

I thought I would share this link I came accross its for dog treadmills, this type of equipment has been in use for decades most notably amongst the bulldog fraternity. Thought some of you may be interested, if used properly they can be a great conditioning tool and these certainly look better than some of the ones I have come accross which may appeal more to some

Each to their own I suppose, if it were between having a fat dog and using one of those I know which I would go for.......again though its not for inexperienced people.......

It would be great for Luca. Although she's not overweight, she could do with some of her abundant energy being burnt off.

"again though its not for inexperienced people"

Think you´re right about that.

Some could chose that instead of the walk out, maybe because of the weather?

I just wouldn´t use it (and don´t need to as I have fields, forrests and lakes surrounding me ). Besides I love the walks and think that the right clothes will make up for the bad weather

Hmm I couldnt see myself using one of those either.

ut if I f.ex couldnt walk myself and had a chubby dog relying on exercise, I could maybe think about it.

They are excellent for conditioning dogs. I know many who show Boxers do use them to get the dogs at peak fitness and the muscles well defined. They do not necessarily take the place of walks, which are important for mental stimulation as well as physical exercise.

I couldnt have put it better myself There is a programme called Breed All About It on Animal Planet and the one that features Boxers shows a Boxer being conditioned for a show in an old fashioned type treadmill.
